Here are answers to some of the questions we are often asked about our forestry mulching services.
Currently we are using a CAT 299D3 skid steer with a CAT 415C 60” width mulching head and a 333G John Deere with a 72” Blue Diamond mulching attachment.
Generally, it takes about two hours for a forestry mulcher to clear an acre of land.
However, there are many other factors that go into the answer to this question. The size and condition of the area to be cleared, the nature of the plant matter (how thick the weeds are or the size and number of trees, for example) will play a role. If large tree removal must be done first, that will also add to the timetable.
